There are 5 types of email events present in the OpenCart. These are customer accounts, forgot passwords, affiliate, and order-related events.

These emails are automatically fired whenever an event occurred. OpenCart has an in-built email template that use to send the customer. Now admin can create, edit and manage all these email templates using this module.

Creating And Managing the Email Templates


The admin can design unlimited email templates in HTML/CSS or write the content in the text. You can add multimedia content such as video, single image, gallery, GIF etc. The admin can add brand color, store logo, business name and address. Moreover, you can also show the social networking profile, and add mobile app download links.

To create the email template, navigate to the TMD Email Template menu. On the email template list page hit the New Button → Add the template title, email subject line, and description → Press the Save button. 

The admin can edit the existing email template, or create multiple versions of one template and do the A/B testing. Retain the best-performing template and delete one or multiple templates when there is no use for it.

It is easy to create a new personalised email for your customer or edit the existing template to improve it. You can add the customer's full name, order detail, products name, login page URL, etc. Use the shortcodes to get customer data.

Assigning Email Templates to Various OpenCart Events


This module creates a new tab in the store setting to attach the email to OpenCart. You must navigate to System → Setting → Then edit the store → Select the Email tab. You will see all the 5 events listed, Select the email template according to events → and hit the save button.

It will automatically replace the old default with a new assigned email template. This is one of the best features of this extension. The admin does not need to worry about anything.

Customize Order Confirmation Email Template


Using this OpenCart email module, the admin can create a customized order confirmation email template. You can add the store logo, customer full name, order id, status, date, product details, and link to the customer account page.

There are 8 shortcodes given to add every single detail about the customer's order. The {product_info} shortcode generates the table format to show all the purchased products present in the order.

Moreover, the admin can design the email using HTML/CSS. Add the order tracking link, customer care detail, refund policy and other important details.



Multi-language Text Editor


It is very useful when you are running your site in multiple languages. This extension supports the multi-language feature. The extension will automatically get all the active languages on the website and create a seperate tab for each language. How to create an order confirmation email template in OpenCart?

On the email template list page, click on the "+" green colored icon to create a new email template. Give the new order confirmation email template as the title. Write the subject line. Use the shortcodes to the customer name, shipping address, products, sub-total, tax, order total, payment detail, etc. in the email in multi-languages.

Now go to System → Setting  select the store. On the email tab, select the newly created email template as order confirmation. Click on the save button.

Whenever an order is completed, OpenCart will select your order confirmation email template to send a customer order confirmation email.


How to edit the email template in OpenCart?

OpenCart does not allow editing the default email template. Admin can create new email templates and bind them with specific events of OpenCart such as customer registration, forgot password, affiliate account, order confirmation, order status changed, etc. Admin can edit/update or create a new email template whenever needed.

Usage of Document

1. After copying all the files related to the module Go to the admin Panel then Go to System->Users->Users Groups select edit option of Top Administration select files in Access Permission which you copied as well as in Modify Permission.
2. Go to the Extension Installer option in the menu
3. Upload .ocmod files.
4. Go to the Modifications menu
5. Here you see your file name
6. Refresh the page from the refresh button that presents on top
7. Import SQL files in your database according to the database prefix.
8. Now Go to system > settings > select the edit option you find a new tab i.e. Email Templates. Select options from the list as shown below.
9. Select Account Register from the list to activate the account register option.
10. Select the Affiliate Program from the list to activate Affiliate.
11. Select Affiliate Forgot Password from the list to activate Affiliate Forgot Password
12. Select Admin- Affiliate Account activate! from the list to activate Affiliate Account Approve
13. Select Forgot Password from the list to activate Forgot Password.
14. Select Product Order from the list to activate Product Order.
15. Select Order Status from the list to activate Order Status.
